Message definition (Addendum II)

Before moving on to the next step, it is important that all archival materials are first classified into general categories. It is also important not to mark or write directly on the original documents. You should not repair tears with adhesive tape or add post-its or other similar items intended to highlight interesting information or documents. To preserve the integrity of the documents, we recommend keeping a record of the documents of interest in a notebook or other format that allows for their easy location and retrieval in the future.

Previo a seguir con la siguiente etapa, es importante que todos los materiales del archivo se clasifiquen una primera vez en categorías generales. También es importante no escribir directamente encima o marcar los documentos originales, así como no pegar roturas con cinta adhesiva, post-it u otros similares con la intención de resaltar información llamativa o documentos de interés. Para preservar la integridad de los documentos, se recomienda llevar un registro de los documentos de interés en un cuaderno u otro formato que permite localizarlos en el futuro.
