Message definition (Outreach and Social Activism: Archive in Action)

Such an approach, however, would not be suitable for an Outreach Strategy for a human rights archive. Beneficiaries not only are the recipients of our messages, material, publications, workshops, and similar outreach products or services we offer, but also benefit from the archive’s outreach efforts—not through mere reception, but through being empowered and taking an active approach, engaging with and contributing to the achievement of the archive’s goals.

Une telle approche ne conviendrait toutefois pas à la stratégie de sensibilisation d’un service d’archives sur les droits de l’homme. Les bénéficiaires ne sont pas seulement les destinataires de nos messages, matériels, publications, ateliers et autres produits ou services de sensibilisation que nous offrons, mais ils bénéficient également des efforts de sensibilisation de l’archive. Ils ne les reçoivent pas seulement, mais ils sont autonomisés et adoptent une approche active en s’engageant et en contribuant à la réalisation des objectifs de l’archive.
